Defendant Cortez Alford pled guilty to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). The district court sentenced Alford to the 10-year statutory maximum. Alford appeals his sentence, alleging: (1) improper judicial fact-finding in violation of United States v. Booker, 125 S.Ct. 738 (2005); (2) error in sentencing as if the Guidelines were mandatory; and (3) error in determining that two of his previous convictions were unrelated for purposes of sentencing. For the following reasons, we AFFIRM.
